Susan will schedule an initial consultation in your home to introduce herself and discuss your design needs. At this time, she will go over how we work, our Letter of Agreement, and the role of our Project Managers. During this meeting your design needs will be discussed and fees and budget addressed. Susan Dearborn Interiors, Inc. is a "client driven firm"; we work with you to create the home you desire.
After this initial meeting, it is our hope that you will feel that Susan Dearborn Interiors, Inc. is the correct firm to assist you with your project.
Once our Letter of Agreement has been signed, Susan will give magazines to you to review and designate your design preferences. She will then set up a meeting to discuss these choices with you and introduce you to your Project Manager. It is during this meeting that Susan is able to ascertain your likes and dislikes and she can begin to develop a feeling for your design style. If the project involves building and remodeling, she can recommend architects and builders or she will set up a meeting with those work persons already hired by the client. (See Designer's Role)
Susan does all of the designing with each client whether they are doing a building and remodeling project or wish to begin with design and decor services. During this time, your Project Manager is drawing up floor plans, setting up meetings, responding to daily issues, coordinating all contractors and initiating and tracking all orders.
Susan Dearborn Interiors' role throughout your project is one of educator, coordinator and implementer. We will guide you through the decision making process while educating you about the design choices available. We will then order all goods and materials, coordinate all contractors, schedule all installations and oversee all deliveries.
Susan Dearborn Interiors' goal is to make the design process as enjoyable and stress free as possible. We hope you will give us the chance to help you with your design project.
